Chess Rules (Modified)
Standard chess — with three key differences that change everything.
Same as normal
Standard movement
All pieces move exactly as in classical chess: knights, bishops, rooks, queens, pawns — no changes.
Same as normal
Checkmate wins
If you trap the opponent's king with no escape, the game ends immediately in your favor.
Modified
King can be captured
Unlike classical chess, the king is not protected by a check warning. If your king is left in a capturable position and your opponent gets the move — it's over.
Modified
Move order from ping-pong
You do not simply alternate moves. The winner of each ping-pong set always goes first. Win two sets in a row — make two chess moves in a row.
Modified
No guaranteed response
Because move order depends on ping-pong results, your opponent might not get a chance to respond to your threat before you move again.
Danger: leaving your king even temporarily unguarded is a real risk.
One lost ping-pong set can cost you the game.
